Move the thumbnail grid out of the sidebar and into a float panel that opens beside the tree. Today it is pinned below the tree in a narrow strip that fits about two thumbnails across, too small to tell videos apart. The panel is non-modal and does not change the main layout widths, so the tree stays usable while it is open.
