Bug: Redshift jobs freeze when run on Linux #296

Description

@joel-wong-aws

Describe the bug

For long-running Redshift jobs (15 minutes or more) on Linux, Redshift sometimes freezes.

Workaround

When submitting a job, please use the task timeout option in the submitter. We recommend setting the task timeout to 2x the expected duration of your longest frame render time.

Reproduction Steps

We've seen this impact:

  1. Redshift jobs with long running frames >3 hours on the first frame (sometimes freezes on the first frame)
  2. Redshift jobs with short frame render times (<10 seconds) but many frames (sometimes freezes after tens, hundreds, or thousands of frames)

This does not appear to affect physical or standard renders.

Environment

At minimum:

  1. Operating system (e.g. Windows Server 2022; Amazon Linux 2023; etc.): Amazon Linux 2023 workers (submitted from Windows or Mac) on Deadline Cloud SMF
  2. Version of Cinema 4D: 2025.3.1
  3. Version of this package: 0.8.2
  4. If this is from a version installed by the Deadline Cloud Submitter installer, then what version of the submitter installer? Affects installer 2025.08.21.0
