It would be nice to have user mode flatpaks available. One of flatpak's best features is granular permission control, and without user mode flatpaks, an important layer of that is lost. It could be made so:

  • The user level flatpak is used by default, with the option to switch to system - as there are a few flatpaks that misbehave if installed in user mode
  • It will only be able to manage flatpaks on system level if Bazaar itself is installed on system level, to ensure consistency
