Brake data returns an integer rather than brake pressure

When using the data screen or logging, the Android app logs when a brake is applied, incrementing a counter as an integer. This is relatively useless information. The BMW Connected App shows deceleration (though whether that is IMU data or actual braking intensity is not clear).

It would be much nicer to see the brake pressure, if that data is available through the CANbus. It would provide much more useful feedback than a binary on/off signal.

Unfortunately, brake pressure is not available through the Nav Cradle; only brake engagement is sent.

Deceleration in the Connected app probably uses the phone's IMU.
