Display control from your keys

description

Glint makes your Mac's brightness and volume keys Just Work with external monitors.

Plug in a display and the pain is familiar: the brightness keys only dim your MacBook screen, the volume keys only touch the Mac speakers, and changing your monitor means reaching for the clunky buttons on the back. Every single time.

Glint fixes that. It quietly intercepts your media keys and sends DDC/CI commands straight to your external monitor — so the same keys now control your display's real hardware backlight and its built-in speakers.

• Brightness keys drive your external display's actual backlight (not a software dimming overlay) • Volume keys control monitor volume over HDMI / DisplayPort / USB-C (including hubs), or system volume for built-in/Bluetooth audio • Lives in the menu bar — or hide it completely and forget it's there • Featherlight: under 1 MB, pure Swift + IOKit, zero CPU when idle. No Electron, no frameworks. • Private by design: no accounts, no tracking, no network

Tiny, invisible, always ready.
