Contributions to this repository are accepted under the GNU AGPL-3.0-or-later including these additional permissions (see CONTRIBUTING.md), so the permissions below survive regardless of who holds copyright in any part of the work.
As a special exception, the copyright holders grant permission to convey covered works through application distribution services operated by third parties — including but not limited to the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Microsoft Store — notwithstanding any terms of service, usage rules, or digital distribution requirements of such services that might otherwise be read as further restrictions under this License, provided that the complete corresponding source of the conveyed work remains available to its users as this License requires.
This exception exists because of the argument raised against VLC in 2011: that app store terms constitute "further restrictions" incompatible with the GPL family. With this permission in place, that argument cannot be raised against Haven's official listings or against any compliant fork's listings.
Removing this exception from a covered work is permitted by section 7 of the License, but the work as distributed from this repository carries it.
