Not all exclusions are working

My borg command:

sudo borg create --stats --progress --one-file-system  \
--exclude /cdrom/ \
--exclude /dev/ \
--exclude /lost+found/ \
--exclude /media/ \
--exclude /mnt/ \
--exclude /proc/ \
--exclude /run/ \
--exclude /swapfile/ \
--exclude /sys/ \
--exclude /tmp/ \
--exclude /home/user/.cache/ \
--exclude /home/user/.ccache/ \
--exclude /home/user/.local/share/gvfs-metadata/ \
/media/user/linuxpc1bak/borgrepo::linuxpc1-{utcnow} /

I recently added the last three excludes, and I did borg diff between the last two backups, but the latest backup (which was definitely made after the script change) apparently added stuff in those directories? Very weird, not sure what's going on.

borg diff not the best method to check that. Have you tried using the --dry-run option to see if exclusion is working correctly?

Ah, this was just a stupid issue on my part - I had a copy of an old version of my script in my bin folder rather than a symlink to the proper script location.

Closing this as outdated: it has seen no activity for a long time and predates the current borg releases.
