EVT1000 compatibility

The EVT1000 manual doesn't imply it works in local mode, but neither do the EVT800. I guess they use the same firmware though?

No mention of a web interface whatsoever. I'd like to set it up completely offline.

I'd love to support additional inverter models -- the tricky thing is that I don't have access to an EVT1000, so it's a little difficult to reverse engineer the communication. Some wireshark packet captures would help if you're able to get that.

Like you mentioned, it's possible both inverters have the same firmware or use the same communication format. If you can enable the TCP server on your inverter through the admin page and give openevt a try, it might just work.

Okay so you're confirming that the EVT800 has a local admin page even if it isn't mentionned in the manual? If so, it's likely the EVT1000 will have one too. I was wondering before buying it actually.

Yes, it does. The admin page doesn't do much, it just allows you to configure networking and update firmware.
