docs(handover): the demo shutdown is complete — the docs' claims are now true
Smell-audited: 0: closes the gap this handover was carrying rather than leaving it as a standing note. The "Docs ahead of reality" entry existed because README, docs/works/demos.md and the v1.10.1 announcement asserted a shutdown that had not happened; both halves have now been done and verified, so the entry is replaced by the verified end state instead of being quietly dropped. Archived (public, forkable): cw-playground, cw-serverless-demo, cw-arcade. Destroyed: both Fly apps, irreversibly, taking the bookshelf's 1 GB `bookshelf_data` volume with them (user-authorised: "fly apps destroy でOK"). `fly apps list` is empty and both URLs now refuse connections. Worth recording because it was nearly a wrong move: stopping the machines would NOT have taken the demos down. Both fly.toml carry `auto_start_machines = true` with `min_machines_running = 0`, so the first HTTP request wakes a stopped machine — a "stop" would have looked successful and then quietly served traffic again. Checking the config before acting is what surfaced that; the app-level destroy is the only form of "off" those configs admit. ClojureWasm itself stays public and unarchived, per the user's direction that support winds down gradually while the repository stays open.

2121
refresh duty) is RETIRED — see F-001's 2026-08-12 entry. Latest release:
2222
**v1.10.1** (2026-08-12) — **the FINAL release**. CHANGELOG is the
2323
release-history SSOT.
24-
- **First task on resume**: **one thing is outstanding and it is the user's to
25-
do** (see § Docs ahead of reality). Otherwise the wind-down is DONE: README
26-
declares the project unmaintained, v1.10.1 is released (4 assets, verified by
27-
download + checksum + running the macOS binary incl. the Wasm FFI → 42), the
28-
homebrew tap is bumped (`brew fetch` resolves 1.10.1 after `brew update`), and
29-
the announcement is Discussion #15, edited to v1.10.1 with a comment recording
30-
what changed (pin it in the web UI — the API has no pinDiscussion). The PERF
31-
CAMPAIGN (D-450) is **stopped, not paused** — findings stay in the row as
32-
a record.
33-
- **Docs ahead of reality — HALF CLOSED (2026-08-12)**: docs + announcement say
34-
the demos are shut down and their repos archived. Archiving is **DONE**;
35-
**stopping the two Fly apps is NOT** — `flyctl` has no valid token on this
36-
machine (browser login required), so both still served 200 at the v1.10.1
37-
tag. Do not walk the docs back; finish the shutdown.
24+
- **First task on resume**: nothing is pending — the wind-down is COMPLETE.
25+
README declares the project unmaintained; v1.10.1 is released (4 assets,

verified by download + checksum + running the macOS binary incl. the Wasm FFI

30+
PERF CAMPAIGN (D-450) is **stopped, not paused** — findings stay in the row.
31+
- **The demo shutdown is COMPLETE (2026-08-12)**, so the docs' and the
32+
announcement's claims are now true: cw-playground / cw-serverless-demo /
33+
cw-arcade archived (public, forkable), both Fly apps **destroyed** —
34+
irreversible, and the bookshelf's 1 GB `bookshelf_data` volume went with them.
35+
`fly apps list` is empty; both URLs refuse connections. Stopping the machines
36+
would NOT have sufficed — both configs carry `auto_start_machines = true`, so
37+
any request would have woken them.
3838
- **Unreleased on main**: nothing. CHANGELOG `[1.10.1]` is the SSOT.
3939
- **Release-process hazard** (`.github/workflows/release.yml`): cutting the
4040
GitHub release BY HAND before the tag workflow runs breaks the artifact
