Thank you for your interest in contributing to LemonCrow (the "Project"), maintained by Pankaj Kumar (the "Maintainer", "we", "us").
This Contributor License Agreement ("Agreement") sets out the terms under which you ("You") contribute to the Project. It protects You, the Maintainer, and users of the Project, and it allows the Maintainer to offer the Project under the Apache License, Version 2.0 and under separate commercial licenses.
You accept this Agreement automatically by submitting a Contribution to the Project — for example, by opening a pull request. No separate signature is required for Your grant to take effect (see Section 7).
- "Contribution" means any original work of authorship, including any modifications or additions to an existing work, that You intentionally submit to the Project in any form and in any medium — code, documentation, configuration, or other material — including submission through pull requests or issue trackers.
- "Submit" means any act by which a Contribution is transferred to the Project, excluding any communication conspicuously marked "Not a Contribution."
You grant to the Maintainer, and to recipients of software distributed by the Maintainer, a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, relicense under any license terms (including open-source, source-available, proprietary, or commercial terms), and distribute Your Contribution and such derivative works.
You retain ownership of the copyright in Your Contribution. This Agreement does not transfer ownership; it grants the licenses described above.
You grant to the Maintainer, and to recipients of software distributed by the Maintainer, a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated in this section) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer Your Contribution, where such license applies only to those patent claims licensable by You that are necessarily infringed by Your Contribution alone or by combination of Your Contribution with the Project. If any entity institutes patent litigation alleging that the Project or a Contribution constitutes patent infringement, the patent licenses granted under this Agreement for that Contribution terminate.
You represent that:
- You are legally entitled to grant the licenses above.
- Each of Your Contributions is Your original creation, or You otherwise have the right to submit it under this Agreement.
- If Your employer has rights to intellectual property that You create, You have received permission to make the Contribution on behalf of that employer, Your employer has waived such rights, or Your employer has executed a separate corporate version of this Agreement.
- To Your knowledge, Your Contribution does not violate any third party's copyrights, patents, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
You are not expected to provide support for Your Contribution, and Your Contribution is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, except as required by applicable law.
If You make a Contribution on behalf of a company or other legal entity, "You" includes that entity, and You represent that You are authorized to bind it to this Agreement. The entity grants the same licenses and makes the same representations set out above.
You agree to notify the Maintainer if You become aware of any fact or circumstance that would make any representation in this Agreement inaccurate.
You accept this Agreement, and the copyright and patent licenses in Sections 2 and 3 take effect, automatically when You Submit a Contribution to the Project. No separate signature is required for those licenses to be effective.
Where the Project uses a CLA bot, Your confirmation through the bot serves as additional written and signed evidence of this acceptance; it strengthens the record but is not a precondition to the rights You grant by Submitting. The Maintainer may merge, decline, or remove any Contribution at its discretion.
This Agreement is governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The ordinary courts at the Maintainer's domicile in Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, subject to any mandatory statutory place of jurisdiction.
