LixBlogs: an open-source publishing platform on Pages, D1, KV, R2, and Durable Objects

I have been building LixBlogs, an open-source, multi-tenant blogging platform that runs on Cloudflare. The source is available at elixpo/blogs.elixpo.

The Cloudflare stack currently includes:

• Pages with Next.js edge rendering and route handlers
• D1 for posts, organizations, collections, contests, analytics, and scoped API access
• KV for feed and sitemap caching with explicit lifecycle invalidation
• R2/Cloudinary-backed media flows
• Durable Objects and WebSockets for collaborative editing
• scheduled Workers for contest lifecycle and notifications

Some implementation details that may be useful to other Workers developers:

• published articles emit server-rendered metadata and BlogPosting JSON-LD while private/unlisted content stays out of discovery
• the public sitemap is generated from D1, cached briefly in KV, and invalidated on publication changes
• AI quotas use a conditional D1 UPDATE so admission and increment remain atomic under parallel edge requests
• collaborative rooms rehydrate their state before every Durable Object handler so hibernation does not lose context

The web app, CLI, REST API, and editor packages are developed in the same repository. Writers can publish from the UI or automate drafts through scoped credentials.

I would especially value feedback from this community on the D1/KV cache boundaries and Durable Object collaboration design. Contributions and real-world testing are welcome.
