Milestone 3 Requirements

Milestone 3 is due Friday, May 29, at 17:00 and is worth 80% of the final grade.

Deliverables

  1. GitHub repository with a README

    • Host code and data on GitHub.
    • If data is too large, link to cloud storage.
    • Include the process book as a PDF.
    • Explain technical setup and intended usage in the README.
    • Keep code clean, manageable, and current.

  2. Screencast

    • Demonstrate the visualization in an engaging and impactful way.
    • Emphasize main contributions rather than technical details.
    • Maximum length: 2 minutes.

  3. Process book

    • Maximum length: 8 pages.
    • Describe the path from original idea to final result.
    • Explain challenges and design decisions.
    • Reuse and expand earlier sketches/plans.
    • Care about the visual design of the report.
    • Include peer assessment with each team member's contribution breakdown.

Grading

  • Visualization: 35%
  • Technical implementation: 15%
  • Screencast: 25%
  • Process book: 25%

Late Policy

  • Less than 24 hours late: 80% of milestone grade.
  • Less than 48 hours late: 70% of milestone grade.
