Published research with a C++ implementation. It converts numbers directly between any bases from 2 to 62, with no intermediate decimal step, keeping exact precision for both integer and fractional parts using array-based integer arithmetic. Converts a 100,000-digit decimal number to hex in about 4 seconds.
