Summary

  • Add LICENSE (unmodified canonical Apache-2.0 text, checksum-identical to apache.org).
  • Declare license: Apache-2.0 in SKILL.md frontmatter, matching the official Splunk agent skills.
  • LICENSE ships inside the .skill archive; README gets a License section; folded into the unreleased 2.1.0 changelog entry (v2.1.0 is not tagged yet, so no version bump).
  • New test keeps the declared license, the LICENSE file and the archive rules in sync.

Note

No copyright holder line was added, since the Apache text only asks for one in the optional appendix boilerplate. Confirm any employer open-source policy before publishing.

Test plan

  • 96 offline tests pass; ruff clean; archive contents checked
  • CI green

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

LICENSE is the unmodified canonical text, declared in the SKILL.md
frontmatter, shipped in the .skill archive, and checked by a test.
