[BUG]: Ambient sound volume resets on page navigation #479

Bug Description
When users adjust the ambient sound volume (Rain/Fireplace) and navigate to another page, the volume preference resets to default.
Benefits
- Better user experience
- Respects user preferences
- No annoying volume surprises
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to homepage (bibliodrift-dm.netlify.app)
- Play "Rainy Evening" or "Cozy Fireplace" ambient sound
- Adjust volume slider to 50%
- Navigate to "My Library" or "Chat" page
- Observe: Volume resets to default
Expected Behavior
Volume preference should persist across pages and sessions. User shouldn't have to re-adjust volume every time they navigate.
Actual Behavior
Volume resets to default (100% or muted) every time user navigates to a different page. User must re-adjust constantly.

N/A - behavior is observable on any device
Proposed Solution
Use localStorage to save volume preference and restore it on page load.

I explored the issue and understood the expected behavior. I’d like to work on implementing volume persistence using localStorage so the ambient sound settings remain consistent across pages and sessions.
Could you please assign this issue to me under NSoC 2026?

Hi @devanshi14malhotra!
I've implemented the volume persistence fix. The changes are included in PR #629 along with the empty state improvements.
Both features enhance the library experience, so I combined them in one PR. Let me know if you'd prefer separate PRs!
