Thank you so much for the detailed review and guidance! I completely understand the issue with the previous merge conflicts and unrelated files. As requested, I have created a fresh, clean Pull Request that strictly focuses on the Book Club Discussion Forum feature without modifying any out-of-scope files. You can find the new PR here: #1091 Thank you again for your patience and support! 😊 |

Hi @devanshi14malhotra 👋,
Thank you for the detailed feedback on my previous PR! I completely understand the issue with the merge conflicts and unrelated backend/layout files getting mixed in.
I have opened this fresh, clean PR from the latest main branch to ensure absolute isolation for the Book Club Discussion Forum feature.

Fixes #716
What this PR does:
It implements the frontend MVP for the Book Club Discussion Forum, allowing readers to share thoughts, theories, and reviews. The UI has been styled to perfectly match BiblioDrift's Dark Academia and Glassmorphism aesthetic.
Changes Made (Strictly Scoped):
frontend/pages/discuss.html: Created the new discussion forum page structure.
frontend/js/discuss.js: Added Vanilla JS logic using localStorage to handle posts, likes, comments, and URL parameter parsing (to auto-fill the book title).
frontend/css/style.css: Appended the required styling at the bottom of the file without modifying any existing classes.
frontend/js/app.js: Safely injected the "Discuss" button (using FontAwesome icons) into the createBookElement function so it appears on the back face of the 3D book cards.
✅ Verification:
As requested, I have double-checked the commit history. There are NO modifications to index.html, auth.html, or any backend Python authentication files in this branch.
Thank you again for your patience and guidance. Please let me know if any further tweaks are needed! 😊
