this PR doesn't fully resolve the bug. Changing backend.spine_generator to a local import (spine_generator) actually breaks the ability to run the app from the project root using python -m backend.app (it results in a ModuleNotFoundError).
Furthermore, this PR only updates a single import on line 18, but app.py has many other inconsistent imports further down the file (e.g., from backend.sanitizer on line 31, and from config on line 46).
To properly fix this issue:

  1. All imports across the backend need to be standardized into a single format (using absolute package imports like from backend.config import app_config is the recommended approach).
  2. The fix needs to be applied comprehensively across app.py and any other backend files with mixed imports, not just a single line.
Could you please update this PR to standardize all of the imports across the backend?

Thanks for pointing this out. I’ll update the PR by standardizing the imports across the backend using consistent absolute imports and test it properly before pushing the changes.
