AI Refund Agent

Enterprise-grade AI-powered refund support chatbot using FastAPI, React, Groq LLM, Docker, and deterministic policy enforcement.

Overview

AI Refund Agent is a secure customer support chatbot that processes e-commerce refund requests using:

  • Rule-based refund policies
  • Synthetic CRM customer database
  • Groq-powered LLM responses
  • Fraud detection guardrails
  • Prompt injection protection
  • Dockerized deployment

The system is designed to demonstrate enterprise-safe AI architecture where the LLM NEVER directly controls refund approvals.

Important Security Design

LLM Does NOT Control Refund Decisions

Refund approvals are determined ONLY by the backend policy engine.

The LLM is used only for:

  • conversational explanations
  • customer-friendly responses
  • natural language generation

This architecture prevents:

  • prompt injection attacks
  • hallucinated approvals
  • unauthorized refunds
