The fake option conflicts with AdGuard's Anti-DPI and ECH features

Running start_fake.bat while AdGuard is running drops the packet (No website accessible).

I've tested it with https://addons.mozilla.org/ko/firefox/addon/adguard-adblocker and cannot reproduce it. Is it the right version of adguard you used? (Note: Since fake mode sends a fake ClientHello packet with www.microsoft.com SNI, connections may be blocked if that site is filtered. In this case, I plan to implement a new feature that allows overriding the fake SNI or the packet itself.). Or is the website not working even when AdBlock is disabled, or only when it’s enabled? If so, the problem is probably that the --fake-ttl value is too high. Open start_fake.bat with notepad and lower it from 8.

So the question is,

1. The exact AdGuard version and filter lists you are using.
2. Whether the website is inaccessible only when AdGuard is enabled.

Changing from start_fake.bat to set "ARGS=--fake --fake-ttl 7" solved the problem, however, the loading speed of the start page is lowered.

Thank you for the update.

Since AdGuard for Windows is proprietary software (unlike the open-source browser extension), it is tricky to pinpoint exactly why it interferes with the connection at a specific TTL (likely a conflict in how it processes the fake packets).

For now, I recommend disabling AdGuard's Anti-DPI and ECH features while using dpibreak. Since dpibreak is already handling the DPI circumvention, there is no need to keep those features enabled in AdGuard while using it.
