I am an MSc student in Advanced Computing at the University of Minho, focused on the design, implementation and optimisation of computational systems that run close to the hardware.
My main interests are centred around High-Performance Computing, AI systems, parallel programming, GPU acceleration, scientific computing and performance engineering.
I enjoy understanding not only whether a system works, but also:
- why it performs the way it does;
- how memory, parallelism and architecture affect execution;
- where bottlenecks emerge;
- how algorithms can be redesigned for modern hardware;
- how AI workloads can be accelerated, benchmarked and deployed efficiently.
My long-term interest is in the intersection between HPC and Artificial Intelligence, especially in systems where large-scale computation, data movement and hardware-aware optimisation are critical.
