teleport?!

hi how can i prevent/fix error. The teleport command gets deleted. My keyboard must be acting strange as I dont even (intentionally) touch commands. I was at the point of using Tiled and changing the blocks around (if that affects it), any suggestions thanks

hi, further testing it happens exactly when I make a copy of level1 . its called level1- copy and that somehow messes teleport (I was just trying to back up original level). When i delete the level1 copy tmx it works again! is it a naming convension issue? i was gonna make like level3, level4 ? also can i have the character start at the bottom (this is all using the monkeylad template) thanks

Hi Zartan,

I've opened the maps in tiled and it looks like the links to the tilesets are broken, this could happen if a copy of the map is made to a different folder than the original map.

If you're making a copy of a map, it will copy the teleporters, each teleporter needs to have a unique ID so that could be the cause (each teleporter needs a unique id because you can teleport from one level to another). You can check the teleporters by checking the "events" section of the Map tab.

It's probably cleanest and safest to make maps entirely from scratch rather than duplicating existing maps. If you click the + button in the map screen, it will take you through the process of setting up a clean new map, including connecting to the tileset you want.
