I downloaded Scorpion a long while ago but haven't used it yet. Everytime I decide that now I want to do something with it, I'm so confused that I close it after one minute.
Buttons don't look like buttons, and for those which do, some are pixelated and others are antialiased. Everything is mismatched (different text sizes for no reason) and misaligned (boxes and scrollbars). Things that belong together should be grouped better (and things that don't a bit more apart). I don't understand why the first thing I see is a colour palette. Doesn't it belong into the sprite editor which is... non-existant? I wish Scorpion was a bit more like the old Game Maker 8 interface, along with a rudimentary sprite/tiles editor. With GM (even ignoring it's drag & drop) it's also easy to get started and have success after few minutes, Scorpion seems more convoluted.
Any plans to improve on that side?
