Adding support for ADM profiles

In order to enhance ADM in bmx, adding support to respective ADM profiles labels is indispensable.
Presently are defined:

• ARIB Production, Emission & Completed - Program Profiles
• Dolby Atmos & Dolby E
• EBU Production Profile
• Fraunhofer MPEG-H
• ITU Emission Profile

With bmx it's possible to specify the UL you want to use for the ADM Profile/Level labeling -- you can use any UL (bmx doesn't need to know about it). You can do this with --adm-wave-chunk
(take a look at the raw2bmx help)
I'm about to make a few updates to bmx docs so will add an example (and check it works...). Hopefully that will resolve your issue.

While I agree that #33 helps a lot, I'd like to keep the issue open and discuss which profiles should be implemented into bmx in the future. Maybe it does make sense to add additional ones so that usage is easier and does not require going to the registers.

The --adm-wave-chunk option allows adm_itu2076 to be specified as a shortcut for the "vanilla" ADM Label. It should be easy to add similar shortcuts to bmx for all the other ADM Profile/Labels if you wish.

Based on discussions in ADM-IG WS3 meeting #19 (June 10, 2026), I'm updating this issue.

BMX (raw2bmx) shall be able to parse the incoming BW64 file to detect ADM presence, identify the specification version of ITU-R BS.2076 (-2 without profile signaling, -3 with profile signaling) and if possible identify the signaled profile. From there automatically choose the right SMPTE UL (or fallback if not found). BMX tools shall NOT validate the ADM content.

Note that bmx does read and write XML as part of other functionality and so getting it to read basic details from ADM XML shouldn't be especially difficult
