I can take on the updates for logstash-integration-kafka and Logstash core. I'll bump the Jackson dependencies in the build configs, verify ObjectMapper compatibility across custom deserializers and make sure the Kafka integration test suite passes cleanly.

@Shubh2-0 thanks, but i'll handle this. i'm looking at options for taking up a newer minor jackson version (in addition we will need to get a release of jrjackson). I've assigned myself.
