Short generated class names

Is there an option to generate short class names? (As short as possible. For example: a, b, c, . . ., aa, ab, ac . . .)

No, this is not an option. Generated class names are based on a hash of the content of a ruleset

Out of curiosity have you compared and found a performance difference between shorter vs longer class names?

I feel like it would end up being pretty minimal if you are using gzip or brotli compression when serving the assets but I could be wrong.

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't done any performance comparison.

Actually, I updated the dependencies in my repro but it seems that the issue persists.

@idoshamun your repro has not been updated - at least not on the remote. I've updated it myself though and it seems to work now.

By default, labels should only be appended to the generated class names in dev mode (I'm talking about Emotion 11).

For me the labels are not included in development mode (either). However that would be nice to have (in development mode and or when and if I enable it).
