gopherkind is a small project with a small community, so this is short.
Be civil. Assume the person you are replying to is acting in good faith and is short on time. Criticise the code, the specification or the argument, never the person. Technical disagreement is welcome and is most of what happens here; contempt is not.
Some specifics, because they come up in this corner of the world:
- People choose their own pronouns and their own names. Use them.
- Nostr is a public network. Do not post someone else's keys, real identity, location or private messages, and do not use an issue tracker to pressure a person by exposing them.
- No harassment, sexualised language, or sustained disruption. No advertising, token promotion or airdrop spam anywhere in this repository.
- Disagreements about scope end with the maintainer's decision. Forking is a legitimate answer to that; abuse is not.
This applies in issues, pull requests, discussions, commit messages and any space where you are representing the project. It does not extend to how you behave elsewhere on Nostr, unless what you do there is aimed at someone in this project.
Report privately to the maintainer, by DM or zap note to
npub1mgvlrnf5hm9yf0n5mf9nqmvarhvxkc6remu5ec3vf8r0txqkuk7su0e7q2 on Nostr, or
through a GitHub security advisory
if you would rather use that channel. Reports stay private. The realistic
response set is a warning, deletion of the content, or a block, and you will be
told which happened.
The maintainer is one person doing this after work, so expect a human response time, not an incident desk.
