When is there a new Gecko Linux .ISO file coming? #558

Okay, I am starting to get the point. One could ask what is the point of maintaining a user-friendly spin if the distribution is giving up on their main tool, YaST, and thus the GUI that it offers, driving the Linux newcomers straight away to the CLI interface?
If I have done my homework correctly, this would affect especially on the Packman packet manager, which is crucial for installing 3rd party packages, codecs, drivers, libraries — you name it. For me, that's a huge set-back in the "development" (or should we say in this case, "regression") of Linux desktop. All the other big players in the field of operating systems and desktop environments offer easy "one-click" options, so it seems rather absurd that the SuSE-branch of Linux is taking such a huge step backwards by removing that commodity. I feel you bro. Would still be nice to hear your thoughts on the most recent developments. Cheers and keep your spirits up! |

Greetings, and thanks for the newbie-friendly openSUSE distro where everything comes out of the box!
However, I'd like to know as well if the prestigious Gecko Linux will be receiving a new .ISO update sometime soon? For me, having a bare openSUSE — especially for a Linux newcomer — would have too much of a steep learning curve. The other distros coming with KDE out of the box — such as KDE Neon, TuxedoOS, Slimbook OS, or Kubuntu Focus — they are all Ubuntu, and thus Debian based. There really would be a place, need and demand for the up-to-date Gecko Linux presenting the openSUSE distro-space! :-)
Tumbleweed is my main focus of interest (or even better, the slowroll release, but I think that can be enabled from the configurations anyway).
