Looking for a specific feature without having tried this yet

AI lead me to this project and I think it may have more than what I need.

I recently got back to KDE and am presently surprised how much better than Gnome it is and how much works out of the box.

So far I think the native META+T and about 70/30 layout I use on UW is perfectly fine for me combined with "remember" settings for my typical apps to reopen in their last location. However, the only issue I have so far is that the windows when they reopen they do not "snap in". They are in the right position but dragging the divider does not resize all windows outside and in the META+T view.

This seems to be overkill for this and I hope KDE will natively support his one day because its seems to me, it should. This tells me I should create my own layouts in a JSON file? So it does not play together with KDEs native META+T layout thing?

I already can shift drag windows into snap zones out of the box in KDE, I am not sure how this is different and how it cooks its own thing ... I probably should just try it ...

OK I was getting it right, its cooks it owns thing and does not have a UI for layouts. So I pretty much assumed everything right. I Just need a few common apps to be setup to remember their positions and KDEs own layout system that actually syncs with the windows and lets you drag the divider between them seems superior to hardcoded JSON file.

I am guessing this pre-dates KDEs own layout functionality. Because otherwise I do not understand why this is cooking its own thing that has no UI for the layout.

If anyone gets what I mean and knows a simple kwin script that simply snap windows into the native layout after they open if they roughly fit the space it would be awesome.
