umbrelOS 1.7.4 update broke the server

Well basically all was working smoothly, I click on update I left it like this for more than an hour, came back, it was stuck 50%, left it for another hour, then open new tab and try to connect and the server is broke and offline both on cloud flare tunnel and TOR , i am not near the machine and have no access to yet anytime soon :( ..

Any idea what happened or what can be done remotely ? or not remotely so once I reach the server I can fix it...

So basically the update ruined what it was supposed to "fix"

And a rule never update when you can't access the machine....

hey, this looks very similar to #2190. In that case, the 1.7.4 update left the machine stuck during the restart, and one reboot brought it back.

If you have a smart plug or some other remote way to power-cycle it, that’s worth trying once. Otherwise, both the Cloudflare tunnel and Tor depend on services running on the Umbrel, so there probably isn’t a way back in remotely while the machine is stuck.

Once you’re near it, power-cycle it once, give it around 15 minutes, then try umbrel.local and its local IP. Don’t reflash or reinstall anything. If it still doesn’t come back, post what hardware it’s running on and whether it shows up in the router or responds to ping.
