Portal has successfully established a robust foundation for permissionless, end-to-end encrypted local application hosting. Our initial version focused on providing a simple, secure, and self-contained relay for individual applications.

As we look to the future, the next phase of development must focus on evolving Portal from a collection of isolated relays into a globally resilient, federated, and scalable network. This discussion aims to outline the key architectural challenges and strategic goals for the next generation of Portal.
