Hello Sir,
First of all I want to thank you for the the tutorial on User secrets it was very well explained.

Secondly while I was following it , I rub to this exception :

Thrown exception: 'System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException' in System.Configuration.dll
An unhandled exception of type 'System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException' occurred in System.Configuration.dll
An error occurred while loading a configuration file: Unable to load the file or assembly 'Microsoft.Configuration.ConfigurationBuilders.UserSecrets, Version = 1.0.0.0, Culture = neutral' or one of its dependencies. The specified file can not be found.

I tried removing the references and then adding them again but with no succes.

Hi,
I was able to fix this issue by upgrading both installed nuget packages to v2.0

In your app.config there was a binding redirect that was excpecting v2 of the assemblies but in csproj file, the included assemblies were v1.

After upgrading nugets to v2, the csproj & app.config files were both expecting v2. So things worked after that

I tried the solution you provieded me and upgraded the packages to v2.0, but then a new error showed up :
The configBuilder 'secrets' failed while processing the 'appSettings' configuration section. : Error in Configuration Builder 'secrets' :: GetValue (password)

Here is the full Error text :

'project-with-secrets.exe' (CLR v4.0.30319: project-with-secrets.exe): Loaded 'C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Visual Studio \ 2019 \ Community \ Common7 \ IDE \ PrivateAssemblies \ Runtime \ Microsoft.VisualStudio.Debugger.Runtime.dll '. Loading symbols ignored. The module is optimized and the debugger option 'Only my code' is activated.

I would love if you could give me a hand on this error. because I would love to make this project work, since there is not much well explained tutorial in comparision to yours. I thank for the good explained tutorial and the help you are providing me .
