Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

The IoT Mag community is made up of people with different backgrounds, skills, and levels of experience who work together to improve IoT Mag — IoT Device Management and Control.

We are committed to creating a friendly, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone who contributes, reports issues, shares ideas, or seeks help.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contribute to a positive environment include:

  • Be friendly and patient. Everyone is learning, and people may have different levels of experience.
  • Be welcoming. Respect people regardless of their background, identity, education, or technical ability.
  • Be considerate. Consider how your words, decisions, and contributions affect others.
  • Be respectful. Disagreements about code, design, or technical decisions are acceptable; personal attacks are not.
  • Communicate professionally. Provide constructive feedback and avoid insulting or discouraging others.
  • Be open to learning. Accept feedback, explain your reasoning, and work together to resolve disagreements.

Unacceptable behavior includes:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or threats.
  • Personal insults or offensive language.
  • Sharing another person's private information without permission.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Deliberately disrupting discussions or repeatedly targeting other contributors.
  • Encouraging or promoting any of the above behavior.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all IoT Mag project spaces, including the GitHub repository, issues, pull requests, discussions, and other project-related communication channels.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please contact the project maintainer through the contact information provided in the repository's README or report the issue privately through an appropriate channel.

Reports will be reviewed as fairly and confidentially as possible.

Enforcement

Project maintainers may remove inappropriate content, issue warnings, or restrict participation when necessary to maintain a safe and respectful community.
