For those who can't install textshot

If you can't install textshot, just look at your python version, it should be lower than 3.12, there's some package(Pillow 9.4.0) that doesn't support python 3.12+, because it's old, and it's ruining the installation. Just install 3.11 or lower and you should be good

Seems that there is no Mac version. Looks like an old dead project.
No instructions on how to download or install, just usage commands, that are useless without installing the app.
I tried brew, but nothing there.
TextSniper works very well as an alternative, but it's not free.
I was interested in seeing this for a free alternative.

Hi, you can install through pip as mentioned in the README here! It's true that I'm no longer maintaining this project beyond bug fixes since many OSes (include macOS) now have better, native OCR features, but everything should still work :)
