I am Maria Paul T

Glad to see you here !

I'm a PostGraduate in Data Science from Chennai Mathematical Institute (https://www.cmi.ac.in/) diving deep into the world of applied AI and building robust, real-world systems. My mission? To bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and production-ready solutions. My core passion lies in making AI more accessible, efficient, and grounded—from building synthetic data generation pipelines to ensuring data privacy.

What Keeps Me Busy ??(Besides Deadlines):

My work is a mix of broad research interests and specific, ongoing projects.

Core Interests:

  • Generative AI & LLMs: Exploring the frontiers of synthetic data, model distillation, and prompt engineering.
  • MLOps & Deployment: Containerizing models, setting up end-to-end pipelines, and deploying models as microservices.
  • Data-Centric AI: Focusing on data quality, privacy (Differential Privacy), and robust data pipelines.

Current Focus:

  • Graduate Research Intern @ IIT Jammu:
  • Open Source Contribution: Lastly attempting a contribution to Opacus (Meta's library for Differential Privacy in PyTorch) which I am presenting at Kochi FOSS on October 24th, 2026
  • Finishing What I Started:

My Academic Life:

I started my journey in computer science and engineering. Post that I joined the IIT Madras Online Diploma in Data Science and Applications. That foundation gave me a deep appreciation for building things that people can actually use. It was this curiosity that eventually pulled me into the AI rabbit hole. Now, I'm into closing the gap between a research paper and a production-ready intelligent system
