What kind of change does this PR introduce? (Bug fix, feature, docs update, ...)

Security fix. No application code changes. The existing suite still passes at 100% coverage.

Summary

Lockfile refresh for the HIGH advisories still present on main. braces@3.0.3 and http-cache-semantics@4.2.0 are unchanged; neither has a published fix. No minimumReleaseAgeExclude or trust-policy exception was added. The 7-day minimumReleaseAge (10080 minutes) still applies.

Package From To Advisory
undici (7.x) 7.30.0 7.30.1 GHSA-qrxm-fqhp-jwvm / CVE-2026-87018, GHSA-2m5v-pch6-74hx / CVE-2026-109383, GHSA-4w7w-5xrc-9h26 / CVE-2026-109829, GHSA-xjj6-f33q-929c / CVE-2026-109869. The 7.30.1 release also includes the medium fixes in that same note.
undici (8.x) 8.11.2 8.12.2 Same undici advisories as 7.30.1. 8.12.3 (published 2026-10-19) is still inside the cooldown and is not a security release on top of 8.12.2, so it was not used.
zod 4.6.5 4.6.7 GHSA-mrhx-c7xc-m3w5: .max() / .size() on arrays, sets, and maps ran after element parsing, so an oversized input was fully walked first. Fixed in 4.6.6. 4.6.7 (published 2026-10-12) is the newest 4.6 release outside the cooldown and contains that fix. writr@^4.5.4 already allows it.
sharp 0.35.4 0.35.5 GHSA-wq5f-xc86-pv6w: librsvg CVE-2026-96889, patched in >=0.35.5. @img/sharp-libvips moves from 1.3.3 to 1.3.4 because 0.35.5 depends on it.
brace-expansion (1.x) 1.1.12 1.1.21 GHSA-qhr7-859c-m2p7 / CVE-2026-102278, GHSA-6j4f-fj2g-mc7p / CVE-2026-102276, GHSA-rgw5-rvv9-x895 / CVE-2026-69152, GHSA-mh99-v99m-4gvg / CVE-2026-14257, plus GHSA-q2hr-2g5m-vwhr / CVE-2026-102277 which needs 1.1.21 rather than 1.1.20.
brace-expansion (5.x) 5.0.4 5.0.12 Same brace-expansion advisories. 5.0.12 is the newest patched 5.0 release.
source-map-js 1.2.1 1.2.2 GHSA-68fv-2mgg-jv7q / CVE-2026-93749: event-loop denial of service through indexed source-map section offsets.

miniflare@5.20260918.0-alpha (via wrangler) pins undici@7.29.0 and sharp@0.35.4 exactly, so those two cannot reach the patched releases through a parent range. The existing undici@7 / undici@8 floors still admitted 7.30.0 and 8.11.2, so they are now >=7.30.1 <8 and >=8.12.2 <9. sharp is a new override, >=0.35.5 <0.36, for the same exact pin. A wrangler bump that pulls a miniflare depending on sharp@0.35.5 would jump wrangler from 4.135.0 to 4.150.0 or newer.

zod, brace-expansion, and source-map-js already fit parent ranges (writr / AI SDK, minimatch@^1.1.7 and ^5.0.2, postcss and magicast@^1.2.1), so they moved with the lockfile refresh and no new override.

No direct runtime range in package.json names these packages. writr is already at the only published version that satisfies ^6.1.6.

Test plan

  • pnpm why shows only undici@7.30.1, undici@8.12.2, zod@4.6.7, sharp@0.35.5, brace-expansion@1.1.21, brace-expansion@5.0.12, and source-map-js@1.2.2. The previous versions are gone from pnpm-lock.yaml. braces@3.0.3 and http-cache-semantics@4.2.0 are unchanged.
  • pnpm test — 239 tests, 100% coverage
  • pnpm build on Node 22.22
Open in Web Open in Cursor

Raise the undici 7 and 8 override floors and add a sharp floor so
miniflare's exact pins cannot stay on the vulnerable releases. Refresh
the lockfile for the packages whose parent ranges already allow the
patched versions.
