I am opening a new thread. Sorry for doing this but I am having a terrible time following the existing threads about backup.sh and restore.sh and the associated commits. Some of this is my fault for mixing restore vs backup comments in the wrong thread.
This paragraph is just me being whiny and is my opinion: I think the current scripts are overly complex given the input from CoPilot. To me there seems like overlap between Sam's efforts and copilot's efforts. In most cases the code works, but it is not clear and concise. It is no longer elegant code. (I am guilty of this too!)
Now back to the real issue: The current backup / restore scripts (committed 2026-07-31 my time) are not working as hoped.
Sam @jasonacox-sam, can you tell me the commit #s for the latest scripts (both backup.sh and restore.sh) to make sure I am not testing the wrong scripts.
