I was just reviewing a project someone posted on the forum. He has a bunch of hand-drawn sketch costumes, like this:
But if you look in the Costumes tab they look like this:
I suggest that the costumes in the costume tab should be overlaid on a checkerboard just like the costume editor one. My guess is that black-on-transparent costumes happen often enough to make this worthwhile. If the costume has an opaque background, then the checkerboard won't be visible.
