Looking for new maintainer

My casa tunes system decided to not work any more, I have not been able to fix it.
I know it will be costly to replace given past experiences, so I am currently reviewing other options for multi-room audio and I will unfortunately not be maintaining this repository any more.

Is anyone interested in taking over this project?

I'm sad to hear this. Perhaps CT guys could help? They have been helpting me with most of the issues remotely during past 9 years.

I wish I could offer my help taking over the project but my python skills are just not there.

@scyto Sorry for late reply. Currently i am using music assistant and a bunch of rpi zero w with airplay, all connected to my casatunes amp. However, i am also experiencing randomly a terrible noise from this amp, so i am looking at other solutions.

@jonkristian then i have a solution for you :-) i have been helping build it over the last 4 weeks, we still need people to test it....... i am running a debian host and sound card, but pi and usb dacs should work.... we need people to test.... and i am in the middle of adding trigger support.... its working as of 30 mins ago in my dev branch....

v4 production was released yesterday and is the first one where we solved the volume control issues

whats the issue with the amp in terms of noise? is it the amp or the pi's connection? (i.e. if you output from someting like a phone with a 3.5mm jack do you have issues)

i am still using my russound 16ch amp i was using with casatunes (i never used their amp, just the CT-8S

This looks very interresting! I was hoping Music Assistant would simply add a soundcard as a player in future.
