docs(readme): fix the shifted banner rows and the stale version badge

The ASCII banner had 3 extra characters on rows 1-2 of each word, so those
rows rendered shifted relative to the rest. Regenerated it from a fixed-width
font where every letter's rows are padded to that letter's widest row and the
whole banner is padded to a uniform width, so the rows cannot drift again.

Also the version badge was still pinned at 1.6.0 -> 1.8.0.
