When I used this in my project, it worked as expected in Firefox but not Chrome. After searching around I found http://stackoverflow.com/a/11724161, and editing the code as I did in the commit fixed the problem.

If this is a confirmed issue, feel free to merge. If I hit an edge case somehow, I'd understand if this is rejected.
