Ech0 is open source under AGPL-3.0-or-later. The AGPL is designed to keep modified network services open: if you modify Ech0 and make it available to users over a network, you must provide the complete corresponding source code of your modified version under the same license terms.
A commercial license is available if you want to use Ech0 in a way that does not release your modifications under AGPL-3.0-or-later.
Commercial licensing is intended for:
- proprietary products based on Ech0
- closed-source hosted services or SaaS offerings
- white-label deployments
- removing or replacing Ech0 attribution in commercial offerings
- private forks where modifications are not published under AGPL-3.0-or-later
For commercial licensing, contact the project maintainers through GitHub Discussions:

If your use is already fully compliant with AGPL-3.0-or-later, you do not need a commercial license.
