🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Clear the cached promise when compiler initialization fails.
A compiler-load failure rejects createCompiler. (npmjs.com) Line 38 retains that rejected promise. Every subsequent call to this compiler function then fails without retrying initialization, even after the connection recovers.
Clear compilerPromise on rejection so the next compilation can retry.

Important
The Spell Check CI job fails on this PR — Wirth in docs/docs/languages/pascal.mdx — so it needs a fix before merge. One minor resilience note on the compiler factory is inline.

ℹ️ SonarCloud Code Analysis failure is not from this PR's code
The red SonarCloud check reports reliability findings such as the unawaited deps.showScreen(...) at src/livecodes/UI/command-menu-actions.ts:972 — lines this PR does not modify (the diff adds only the single 'pascal' array entry).
Technical details
# SonarCloud findings live in untouched code
## Affected sites
- `src/livecodes/UI/command-menu-actions.ts:216,243,423,839,906,972` — pre-existing findings; none is the `'pascal'` entry this PR adds.
## Required outcome
- No change for this PR; the quality gate should be evaluated separately from the Pascal work.ℹ️ Nitpicks
.agents/skills/livecodes/language-support/references/languages.mdis the maintained list of supported languages, aliases, and extensions for the agent skills, but Pascal was not added (it already omitszig-wasm, so this is a consistency nit rather than a hard requirement).

Re-review of the fixes commit (9fdbdde) since the previous pullfrog review (fdf2c71).
- Compiler runtime split into an IIFE glue file —
lang-pascal-compiler.tsis now loaded from the factory viaimportScripts(baseUrl + '{{hash:lang-pascal-compiler.js}}')and exposescreatePascalCompiler, mirroringlang-elm. - Editor support added — Pascal now has Monaco (
pascal.js, registers idpascal) and CodeMirror (codemirror-lang-pascal.jslegacy mode) entries;editorLanguage/codejarwere dropped because the language id already resolves to thepascalPrism grammar. - CodeMirror vendor bumped —
@live-codes/codemirror0.4.2→0.4.3(0.4.2 does not shipcodemirror-lang-pascal.js). Spell Checkfixed —Wirthallow-listed intypos.toml; the prior thread is resolved.- Starter cleanup — dropped the
{$mode objfpc}{$H+}directive frompascal-starter.ts.

compilerPromise is created once here and never cleared, so a transient createCompiler failure (e.g. the ~9 MB asset/CDN load failing) leaves a rejected promise cached for the worker's lifetime — every later run reuses the same rejection and the language never recovers without a reload. The new structure mirrors lang-elm but drops Elm's recovery path.
Technical details
# Clear the cached compiler promise on rejection
## Affected sites
- `src/livecodes/languages/pascal/lang-pascal-compiler.ts:31` — `const compilerPromise = pascalWasm.createCompiler(...)` is created eagerly and never reset.
## Required outcome
- A failed boot is retried on the next run instead of poisoning the compiler for the worker's lifetime; the boot failure should not surface as an unhandled rejection.
## Suggested approach
- Adopt the `getCompiler()` shape from `src/livecodes/languages/elm/lang-elm-compiler.ts:36-54`: assign the promise lazily, clear it in a `.catch()`, and warm it once with `getCompiler().catch(() => undefined)`.|

Reviewed changes
Incremental re-review of the merge of develop into pascal-lang (f19c62c) since the prior pullfrog review (4aee757). The merge's net effect on the PR's own change set is a single docs line; every Pascal addition remains intact.
- Merged
develop(incl. #1048 Fanak) intopascal-lang— all Pascal surfaces (compiler glue, spec, starter, SDK types, docs, i18n across all locales, and the agent-skills reference entries) are present and unchanged since the last review. The priorWirthand compiler-promise threads are resolved.
ℹ️ README language-count badge is now stale
develop already bumped the README languages badge to 111 for the Fanak language (#1048), and this PR's own 110 → 111 bump was dropped when the merge was resolved. The branch now adds a second language (Pascal) without incrementing the count, so the badge undercounts by one and should read 112.
Technical details
# README badge dropped by merge resolution
## Affected sites
- `README.md:16` — the badge is `languages-111-blue`. `develop` reached `111` via #1048 (Fanak), so the Pascal addition should move it to `112`.
## Required outcome
- The README language-count badge reflects the Pascal addition (`112`).
## Suggested approach (optional)
- Bump `languages-111` to `languages-112` in `README.md`. Note the file is not part of the PR diff, so this cannot be an inline anchor.deepseek-v4.1-flash (free via Pullfrog for OSS) | 𝕏
