Describe the bug
I see that the QT-Multimedia bug is not fixed yet, I've read the issue linked in the README file. I currently have an AMD GPU RX 7600, I can help you to test and fix this issue providing logs and any other stuff you or QT devs need for debugging. Because I really like this addon, and it's quite annoying seeing these crashes sometimes when I leave my PC idle with the sleep inhibitor enabled in the energy management.
Steps to reproduce
- Do a cold boot
- Enable the sleep inhibitor in energy management
- Leave your PC idle for about 15 mins
- You will see a plasmashell segmentation fault or an entire crash of the desktop environment
- On the current plasma 6.5.5 it can recover from the crash automatically (openSUSE Tumbleweed)
Observed Result
Using the workaround described in the README fixes this with gstreamer
Expected Result
Try to fix the bug for QT-Multimedia when using the default ffmpeg backend
Screenshots/Video
