Implements the primary CommitFinalize instruction for Direct clusters. It applies inline full-account data or an encoded diff atomically with lamport settlement, commit ordering, owner validation, and undelegation state updates. Legacy finalization remains unchanged.

Closes #191

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Direct clusters can now finalize delegated account updates immediately, using either complete account data or an encoded change set.
    • Finalization applies account data and lamport balance changes, tracks sequential commits, and supports eligible undelegation requests.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Added validation to reject invalid or out-of-order commits, including commits with unauthorized validators, incompatible cluster settings, or disallowed undelegation requests.

Add the primary Direct-cluster instruction, wire layout, and builder for committing inline full-state or diff payloads.

Authorize the cluster's current validator, validate DelegationState ordering and undelegation rules, settle lamports, apply the update without temporary state accounts, and advance the delegation state atomically.

Cover full data, aligned zero-copy diffs, authority, owner, cluster mode, commit ordering, and owner-requested undelegation in SBF tests.

Walkthrough

Adds the v2 CommitFinalize instruction and builder for inline account updates. The Direct-cluster processor validates the instruction and account state, applies full-data or diff payloads, settles lamports, and updates commit and undelegation state. Integration tests cover successful commits and selected rejection cases.

Assessment against linked issue

Objective Addressed Explanation
Add a v2 inline CommitFinalize instruction, builder, Direct processor, and focused tests [#191] ✅
Authorize the cluster’s current validator and enforce commit ordering and delegation or undelegation state checks [#191] ✅
Apply account data, owner, and lamport updates, then advance commit state [#191] ✅
Use the wheels-based DelegationState [#191] ❓ The summaries describe delegation-state validation, but do not identify whether the state type is the wheels-based DelegationState.

Priority: High

Merge Risk: Minimal · up to 47d46

The change is mergeable after normal checks; more specific rejection-test assertions would improve confidence in future regressions.

Place the reusable commit/finalize state transition under processor/internal so instruction modules depend on common processor machinery instead of sibling processor modules.

Assert the specific error in the rejection tests.

test_commit_finalize_rejects_challenge_cluster and the owner-mismatch case in test_commit_finalize_rejects_wrong_validator_and_owner use only .is_err(). Those assertions pass for any failure, including an unrelated decode error, a wrong account order, or a missing account. The tests then do not show that the intended check rejected the request.

The intended checks return these errors in apply_commit_finalize:

  • Challenge cluster: require_eq!(cluster.challenge_config().is_none(), true, ProgramError::InvalidInstructionData) returns InvalidInstructionData.
  • Owner mismatch: require_eq_keys!(state.original_owner(), input.owner, ProgramError::InvalidAccountData) returns InvalidAccountData.

These are built-in ProgramError values, not DlpError::Custom codes. The existing assert_custom_error helper matches only InstructionError::Custom, so it cannot assert these errors. Add a helper that matches a built-in InstructionError:
