Summary

  • canonicalize lockfile registry URLs while honoring each user's configured npm registry or compatible corporate mirror
  • enforce reviewed dependency lifecycle scripts and install/launch only the hash-verified Electron runtime
  • retry Windows directory moves that are temporarily locked by Defender or endpoint security

Validation

  • strict npm 11.17 install through public npmjs
  • strict npm 11.17 install through Microsoft's package-feed proxy
  • reviewed Electron 43.1.1 installation and runtime verification
  • 268-package license inventory, 73 tests, and production build

Fix portable source installation

Keep the lockfile portable across public and corporate registries, enforce reviewed dependency scripts, verify Electron downloads and launches, and retry transient Windows file locks.
