About Michael

  • I'm a dedicated public servant working on improving data infrastructure for the State of Utah - DHHS Medicaid
    • The finances of Medicaid are extremely intricate and I'm one of the nation's leaders in this space
    • My projects include
      • Redesigning Medicaid's Financial and Eligibility DataMarts, maintaining financial integrity between the state's MMIS system and accounting Journal with a $0.00 error for a $5.5B+ annual budget
      • Creating a forecasting Data Platform that transparently and systematically lays out the expected expenditures within Medicaid over the next two fiscal years
    • Utah is the only state that has implemented a fully modular PRISM system to process its claims and payments
