Proposal: Modernize the landing page and docs UI

The documentation site works well in terms of content, but the overall visual design feels quite outdated compared to modern documentation sites like VitePress or Docusaurus.

The landing page (https://moment.github.io/luxon/#/) in particular feels very sparse — it has a lot of empty space and doesn't really showcase what Luxon can do at first glance.

I'd love to propose a full visual redesign to give the site a more modern, polished look and feel. Nothing that changes the content or structure — just a cleaner, more up-to-date design.

Considering I am not very versed in design, I am very open to help in this regard and would appreciate it a lot. I am currently working on version 4 of Luxon and I think it would be fitting to give the site an overhaul together with the release.
Are you looking to contribute the design only (would be fine by me) or do you want to work on the implementation as well?

I have been thinking of switching the site over to using Starlight already.

Thanks for the quick response! Really glad to hear that a redesign is something you're open to — and exciting to know that Luxon v4 is in the works!

I'd love to contribute both the design direction and the implementation. I'll take some time to explore Starlight and get familiar with it, then put together a visual prototype to share here for your feedback before making any actual changes to the codebase.

Starlight is just what I know / have used before. I am fine with using other tools as long as:

• They can just be installed via NPM
• Are properly maintained
• Are actual static site generators and don't just run React client side or something like that.

If you have other suggestions we can explore them!

Thank you! I think Starlight would be a great choice - it fits all the criteria. I'll go ahead with that and share a prototype here soon.
