Expected behavior of the wanted feature
I would like to respectfully suggest a new upscaling filter: ewa_hanning + scale-blur=0.9753886283057314, which I have been researching for quite some time. I was hoping it could be named ewa_hannsharp and added to both vo=gpu and vo=gpu-next.
The effect is: ringing ≈ ewa_hanning, sharpness ≈ ewa_lanczossharp. You can find the details and the reasoning behind it here: #14325 (reply in thread).
