Hello @mx4,
Do you think it could be possible to test the CPP dual channel strategy using your tool ? if so, how can you do that and what needs to be done?
Basically, to upgrade from SPP to CPP strategy, you need to provide the measurement of a secondary pseudo range for each individual satellite. It is the same measurement as the current measurement, but you need to double the amount of measurements. When stacking measurements, they obviously need to remain fully synchronous, otherwise the results will be wrong.
By switching strategy, you obtain x10 performance easily and even on the first solution.
Side notes:
- if you select CPP strategy, that means you need to fulfill the measurement requirements. If you fail to provide the minimum measurements (4 I think), then the solver will complain you don't have enough satellites in sight. At this point, you can downgrade to SPP and try again for the same synchronous measurements, or you can decide to discard this epoch and wait for a new measurement
- in otherwords, the strategy defines the type of measurement you need to fulfill and defines the constraint you have on your measurements. The most important, is to always garantee that the measurement pot is synchronous as it is today. And, in the case of the dual channel measurement system, you must garantee that each dual channel is correctly passed for each satellite, as similar to the signal channel measurement system
- This tool supports any signals. As long as you decode the pseudo range correctly and you tell the solver the correct frequency (Hz) for each channel, then you are fine and will obtain a valid solution (= correction projection in meters around the center of the earth)
